Teacher Free Store – Monthly Sponsor
Help us reach even more students by being a monthly sponsor of our Teacher Free Store. Approximately 1,000 teachers from nearly 200 Minnesota schools access our Resource Center each month (September – early May) to obtain the learning materials needed to help their students be successful in the classroom.
School Shopping Sponsor
Support an entire school of your choice with supplies by sponsoring all teachers at the school with a shopping visit. A special shopping day can coordinated upon request, including opportunities to serve the teachers first-hand through volunteer efforts from you and/or your team.
Outstate Supplies Initiative Sponsor
The primary objective of Kids In Need Minnesota is to ensure that every child in Minnesota has the tools necessary to learn and succeed in the classroom. Achieving this goal will be accomplished through the continued serving of students in need across the state via our Outstate Supplies Initiative, in which we ship supplies to teachers who cannot access our Resource Center due to geographical distance.
24 Hour to Empower Fundraising Event
In the heart of back-to-school season, we celebrate our dedication to local educators and students by preparing school supplies for distribution to students throughout Minnesota. Serving with the community in a high-energy atmosphere, volunteers and supporters from across the Twin Cities engage in a 24-hour pack-a-thon to fulfill the school supply needs for thousands of Minnesota students. The event consists of twelve 2-hour volunteer events, include snacks and beverages, and an opportunity for volunteers to win prizes!
The inaugural 24 Hours To Empower, which took place August 1st and 2nd, 2019, provided 7,309 backpacks to students in need, and details for 2020 are coming soon!
